This original application has been registered under a letter petition dated 07.07.2022 received from Swami Achutanand Tirth, Adhayakasha, Swami Bhumanand Dharmarth Chikitsalaya & Research Institute, Ranipur Jhal, Jwalapur, Roorki Road, Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
The complaint is that there is illegal encroachment of vendors, dhabas, rikshaws and illegal buses and trucks on road from Marghat Wale Hanuman Temple to Nigambodh Ghat. Illegal encroachment on the road is resulting in sale and consumption of drugs like Charas, Ganja, Opium etc. In substance, the complaint is about illegal unauthorized encroachment & trafficking of drugs and does not give rise to any issue relating to environment hence complaint is not within the jurisdiction of Tribunal under Sections 14 and 15 of the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010 which is accordingly rejected with the liberty to the applicant to raise his grievance at appropriate forum.
