Application is registered based on a complaint received by e-mail

1.

This original application under Section 14 and 15 of National Green Tribunal Act, 2010 (hereinafter referred to as ‘NGT Act, 2010’) has been registered on a letter petition dated 01.07.2022 sent by Ghanshyam Singh claiming himself to be an Advocate and a resident of Kalkaji.

2.

The complaint is that Jahapanah City Forest situation near Greater Kailash-2, New Delhi has been occupied by the labourers employed by Delhi Development Authority for certain construction work undertaken by the said authority and the said laborers have made their temporary huts and tents and are causing environmental damage by dumping solid waste etc.

3.

What we find is that complainant in this matter is an Advocate and he has all capacity and legally equipped to approach this Tribunal by filing a proper application in accordance with Rules of this Tribunal. We do not find any justification for entertaining a complaint by an Advocate through a letter petition.

4.

We therefore, permit the complainant applicant to file proper application before this Tribunal in accordance with the Rules and reject this application as not entertainable.
