Judgment
ORDER
Alleging interference by the respondent police with the life and liberty of the petitioners including the business of the petitioners without following the due process of law, this Writ Petition has been filed.
Sri D. Pradeep, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on oral instructions, submitted that there is no interference by the respondents and the petitioners have not been brought to the police station.
Sri Prasad, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Civil Supplies has submitted that the Collector has given a notice only requiring the details of CMR paddy/Rice and no complaint has been given against the petitioners.
In view of the said submissions, it appears that there is no cause to the respondent police to call the petitioners to the police station or to interfere with their life and liberty.
In view of the same, no further orders are necessary. The respondents are directed to follow the due process of law, if any steps are to be taken against the petitioners.
The Writ Petition is accordingly closed. No order as to costs.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, in this Writ Petition shall also stand closed.
