Judgment
Grievance in this application is against operation of ready-mix concrete batch plant by R-5, Sandhu and Co., Panipat. According to the applicant, the plant has been operating for the last ten years by old machinery thereby causing huge pollution. Within 500 mtrs from the site of the plant, 2000 persons are living and their health is being adversely affected.
We have perused the application. None appears for the applicant to support the application. We are of the opinion that the issue about the alleged air and water pollution can be looked into in the first instance by the statutory regulators - Haryana State PCB and based on verification of facts, remedial action taken, if necessary, in exercise of its statutory powers, following due process.
The Application is accordingly disposed of with a direction to the Haryana State PCB to look into the matter and take such action as may be necessary.
A copy of this order be forwarded to the Haryana State PCB by email for compliance.
