Judgment
The grievances made in the present letter petition sent by Mr. Sri Prakash Singh are that Utensil making factory is being illegally run in residential area at House no. 5/235 Kadamtar, Mirjapur, Uttar Pradesh causing air and noise pollution resulting in serious health hazards to local residents due to burning of coal and emission of copper, zinc, nickel, lead mixed smoke.
In view of the grievances made in the letter petition, we are of the view that the factual position needs to be verified and remedial action is required to be taken by the Statutory Authorities on the basis thereof. We accordingly constitute Joint Committee of UPPCB and District Magistrate, Mirjapur and direct the same to verify the factual position, look into the grievances of the applicant and take remedial action in accordance with law after following due process within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
Factual and action taken report may be furnished within two months by e-mail at [email protected] preferably in the form of searchable PDF/OCR Support PDF and not in the form of Image PDF, before the Ld. Registrar General, National Green Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi who may, if necessary, put up the matter before the Bench for further directions.
The application is disposed of with the above said directions.
A copy of this order, along with a copy of the complaint, be forwarded to the UPPCB and District Magistrate, Mirjapur by e-mail for compliance.
