O R D E R
I have joined this Bench online through video conferencing.
The instant O.A has been preferred for seeking direction to the respondents to release PPO, family pension and other retiral dues.
The brief facts leading to the original application are that husband of the applicant died on 17.12.2021. Thereafter, the applicant filed an application on 15.01.2022 (Annexure A-5) for release of retiral dues as well as family pension. It is also stated that pursuant to letter dated 09.02.2022 issued by the respondent no. 2, the applicant appeared before the respondent no. 2 and subsequently filed a representation dated 19.04.2022 (Annexure A-7) for redressal of her grievance.
Learned counsel for the respondents, on the other hand, submits that the applicant has approached this Tribunal prematurely as the period of six month, as prescribed under the Administrative Tribunals Act, has not expired so far and accordingly, the OA may be dismissed at this stage being premature.
At this stage, learned counsel for the applicant has confined his relief that the applicant would be satisfied if the representation dated 19.04.2022 is disposed by the competent authority amongst the respondents.
In view of the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the applicant, this OA is disposed off with a direction to the respondents to decide the representation of the applicant dated 19.04.2022 (Annexure A-7 of OA), by way of a reasoned and speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of the order.
With the above direction, the OA is disposed off.
No order as to costs.
