Judgment
This Original Application is registered on the basis of the letter petition sent by the President of Maa Revashree Charitable Trust with the grievance that waste water through 12 mentioned sewage drains is being discharge in river Narmada which is causing pollution in the River. The prayer in the application is to speed up STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) project of Bharuch City on fast track which is lying pending since long.
Having regard to the nature of issue which is raised in the letter petition, we are of the opinion that the grievance of the applicant needs to be considered at the first instance by the Member Secretary, Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB).
Hence, we dispose of the OA with the direction to the Member Secretary, GPCB to duly look into the grievance and take appropriate remedial action in accordance with law expeditiously.
A copy of this order, along with a copy of the petition, be forwarded to the Member Secretary, GPCB by e-mail for necessary action.
OA is accordingly, disposed of.
