Judgment
Grievance in this application is against violation of environmental norms by Arc Ice Plant, Vettai, Painkulam, Kanyakumari, Tamilnadu by illegally extracting ground water and releasing gas, using 60-megahertz motor, resulting in air pollution and causing water scarcity in the area.
Having considered the above allegation, we are of the view that the matter needs to be looked into in the first instance by District Collector, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Tamil Nadu Water Resources Department, Tamil Nadu Ground Water Authority and Tamil Nadu State PCB and remedial action taken in accordance with law.
A copy of this order, alongwith copy of complaint, be forwarded to the District Collector, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Tamil Nadu Water Resources Department, Tamil Nadu Ground Water Authority and Tamil Nadu State PCB by email.
The application is disposed of.
If any grievance survives, aggrieved party is free to take further remedy as per law.
