Judgment
Seeking a direction to the respondent police to provide security to the petitioner to retrieve her educational certificates, medical records and also the medical records of her daughter and any documents pertaining to her minor child from her matrimonial home at Flat No.202, Jaya Residency and Plot No.117, Mothinagar, Hyderabad, this Writ Petition has been filed.
It is submitted that there is an FIR registered against the husband, i.e., respondent No.5 herein and the mother-in-law of the petitioner and the petitioner is therefore living away from her matrimonial home and she apprehends that if she visits the matrimonial home, respondent No.5 would not allow her to enter and she would be attacked and further that she would not be permitted to take her educational certificates and other documents. It is submitted that the petitioner made a representation on 15.07.2026 to respondent No.4 SHO to provide police protection, but no action has been taken thereon and therefore, this Writ Petition has been filed.
In view of the said submissions and after hearing the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, this Court directs respondent No.4 to provide police protection to the petitioner to visit the house of respondent No.5 and to retrieve her medical as well as educational documents and also the documents relating to her minor child. The petitioner shall approach respondent No.4 police station tomorrow, i.e., 08.08.2026 at 11.00 AM and thereupon, respondent No.4 shall provide security to the petitioner till she retrieves the documents and leaves the home of respondent No.5 and her safety is secured accordingly.
With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
