Judgment
This Writ Petition is filed questioning the inaction of the respondents in considering the representation dated 12.06.2026 submitted by the petitioner seeking police protection for the conduct of the customary, hereditary, and religious right of Alambardari (Relic Holding), which is scheduled to be held on 04.08.2026, as illegal and arbitrary.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for respondent Nos.1, 3 and 4, and the learned Standing Counsel for the Wakf Board appearing for respondent No.2.
Having regard to the fact that the event is scheduled to be held on 04.08.2026 and that the petitioner had submitted the representation as early as on 12.06.2026, this Court deems it appropriate to direct respondent Nos.3 and 4 to consider the said representation in accordance with law and take an appropriate decision thereon and the decision so taken shall be communicated to the petitioner on or before 03.08.2026.
Accordingly, the writ Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous applications, if any, pending shall stand closed.
