Judgment
A. Guneshwar Sharma, J
Heard Mr.H.S.Paonam, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr.Chinglen, learned counsel for the petitioner.
Issue notice on the main writ petition as well as to the misc application for interim order.
Mr.Phungyo Zinkhai, learned Dy.GA accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1, 2, 3 and 4.
Petitioner is permitted to take steps with respect to respondent No.5 by Speed Post within one week and file affidavit for proof of service.
Learned Government Advocate prays for three weeks’ time for filing counter affidavit. List the matter before the roster Bench on 7.2.2025.
Mr.Paonam, learned senior counsel submits that the representation dated 11.11.2024 submitted to the Chief Secretary/Commissioner, Higher Education, may be permitted to dispose of notwithstanding pendency of the writ petition. Mr.Y.Ashang, learned Government Advocate submits that this Court may pass any appropriate order in this regard.
Recording the submissions made at the Bar, it is clarified that pendency of the writ petition shall not be a bar to the State respondents to consider and dispose of the pending representation, on merit.
It is clarified that this Court does not express any opinion on the merit of the representation.
