Judgment

Ms. Rinika Maibam, learned counsel, appeared for the petitioners; and Mr. Th. Vashum, learned G.A., appeared for the respondents.
At the outset, Ms. Rinika Maibam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, submitted that the petitioners would be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Commissioner (Education-S) to consider the representation dated 21.05.2024 submitted by the president on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable guidelines and rules and to dispose of the same within a stipulated period by issuing a speaking order.
Mr. Th. Vashum, learned G.A. appearing for the respondents, fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioners is confined to the consideration and disposal of the representation submitted by the president, he has no objection in disposing of the present w rit pet it ion as prayed for by t he learned counsel appearing for the petitioners.
In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and on perusal of the record, this Court is satisfied that the ends of justice will be made by disposing the present writ petition with the following directions: -
(i) The Commissioner (Education-S), Government of Manipur is hereby directed to consider the representation dated 21.05.2024 submitted by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable guidelines and rules and to dispose of the same by issuing an appropriate order;
(ii) The whole exercise should be completed within a period of 3(three) months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is disposed of.
