Judgment
Questioning the action of respondents in not mutating the agricultural land admeasuring Ac.7.00 guntas in Survey No.342, Ac.5.19 guntas in Survey No.344 and Ac.0.36 guntas in Survey No.343 situated at Budharam Village, Gopalpet Mandal, Wanaparthy District in the name of the petitioner, despite submitting representation dated 07.05.2026 to the respondent No.3, as being illegal and arbitrary. The petitioner also seeks a direction to the respondents to mutate the said subject land in the name of the petitioner expeditiously.
Heard Mr. S. Satyam Reddy, learned Senior Counsel representing Mr. Sarasani Rahul Reddy, learned counsel on record for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 4. With the consent of both the parties, the writ petition is being taken up for disposal. Perused the entire record.
Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner made a representation to the respondent No.3-Revenue Divisional Officer, Wanaparthy Revenue Division on 07.05.2026 for mutation of his name as pattadar in the revenue records in respect of the subject lands. He has also made another representation to the District Collector, Wanaparthy on 07.02.2026 for cancellation of pattadar passbooks issued in favour of others, who obtained fake pattadar passbooks by manipulating the revenue records and requested for removal of their names in Dharani Portal in respect of the subject lands. Learned Senior Counsel further submits that despite submitting the above said representations, no orders have been passed till date. Questioning the same, the present writ petition is filed.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue submits that vide proceedings No.D3/143/2026, dated 02.03.2026 the District Collector, Wanaparthy has written a letter to the Tahsildar, Gopalpet to submit a detailed report on the representation of the petitioner dated 07.02.2026 about issuance of fake pattadar passbooks in respect of the subject lands at the earliest.
At this stage, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that he has learnt that report of the Tahsildar in this regard has been received by the District Collector, Wanaparthy.
In that view of the matter, recording the aforesaid submissions and with the consent of the learned counsel on either side, without going into the merits of the case, this Court deems it fit and proper to direct the respondent Nos.2 to 4 to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 07.02.2026 and 07.05.2026 stated to have been made by the petitioner, if not already considered, and since the enquiry has already been initiated by the Tahsildar, Gopalpet Mandal, after issuing notice to all the concerned/affected/interested parties and after granting fair opportunity of hearing, pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law, preferably within a period of Eight (08) weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner and interested parties, if any.
With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel, miscellaneous applications, if any pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed.
