Judgment

Heard Mr. N. Ibotombi, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. A. Rommel, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. S. Nepolean, learned GA for respondents.
As directed earlier by this Court, the learned GA produced a letter dated 02-01-2023 from the Director of Health Services, Manipur wherein it has been stated that as reported by the Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Churachandpur, the District Hospital, Churachandpur has been upgraded to 330 bedded hospital on 30-09-2021. This information is strongly refuted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner on the ground that the report submitted by the Medical Superintendent cannot be the basis to decide the issue and that while converting the said District Hospital to a Medical College, the authorities of the State Government submitted necessary information and among the said information and documents submitted by the authorities, the correct information as to when the District Hospital had been upgraded to 330 bedded hospital is mentioned. In order to resolve the dispute, this Court is of the considered view that it will be appropriate to call for the relevant records.
Accordingly, the learned GA is directed to produce the relevant Government file in connection with establishment of the Churachandpur Medical College and place it before this Court on the next date without fail.
List this case again on 23-01-2023.
A copy of this order be furnished to Mr. S. Nepolean, learned GA through his WhatsApp/email for doing the needful.
