Judgment
This original application under Sections 14 and 15 of National Green Tribunal Act, 2010 (hereinafter referred to as ‘NGT Act, 2010’) has been registered on a letter petition dated 22.07.2022 sent by Shri Jagdeep Kumar son of Shri Subhkant Choudhary resident of H. No. B-1757/16, Lankapuri, Hanuman Gali, Shashtri Nagar, Delhi-110052.
It is said that near residence of applicant, there is property no. B-1757/9/10 and B-1757/10 (old no. B-1757/36) whereat several industrial units are running, though in the residential area industrial units cannot run and these industrial units are emitting polluted air causing air pollution affecting local people and creating health hazards.
In our view the matter can be looked into by the local administration, for the purpose whereof, we constitute a joint Committee comprising Delhi Pollution Control Committee and District Magistrate, East Delhi, who shall look into the matter, visit the site, collect relevant information and submit a factual and action taken, if any, report within two months.
District Magistrate, East Delhi will be nodal agency for coordination and compliance.
The report may be furnished to Registrar General of this Tribunal by e-mail at [email protected] preferably in the form of searchable PDF/ OCR Support PDF and not in the form of Image PDF. If found necessary, the matter may be placed before the Bench for further directions.
Subject to above, application is disposed of.
A copy of this order, alongwith copy of complaint, be forwarded to Delhi Pollution Control Committee and District Magistrate, East Delhi by e-mail for compliance.
