The present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of CERTIORARI for quashing the order dated 23.08.1996, whereby Sh. Dalip Singh, HCS, Officer on Special Duty (Rules) to Government of Haryana, Local Government Department was appointed as Inquiry Officer to hold departmental inquiry against the petitioner.
None has appeared on behalf of the petitioner today. Same was the position on the last date of hearing as well.
The present writ petition is of the year 1996 and the prayer in the petition is for quashing the order dated 23.08.1996, whereby the aforesaid officer was appointed as Inquiry Officer to hold departmental inquiry against the petitioner.
The present case is about 28 years ago and the subject matter may not have survived till date.
In view of the above, the present writ petition is dismissed.
However, in case any cause of action still survives, then the petitioner shall be at liberty to move an appropriate application for revival of the present writ petition.
