(Through video conferencing)

None appears for the petitioner on call.

On 04.12.2020 also, the learned counsel for the petitioner was not present. It does not appear whether the learned counsel for the petitioner appeared on 22.12.2020 when this Court directed the matter to be listed after Sankranthi Vacation, 2021.

Heard Mr.M.Jayaram Reddy, learned counsel for the respondent.

The petitioner alleges willful and deliberate violation of the order dated 19.04.2017 passed in W.P.No.13986 of 2017. By the aforesaid order, respondent No.1 was directed to examine the claim of the petitioner as ventilated in his representation dated 24.10.2016 and to pass a reasoned order.

It appears that a memo dated 02.11.2020 was filed by the learned counsel for the petitioner for withdrawal of the contempt case.

Along with the counter-affidavit filed by the respondent, an order dated 07.03.2018 is annexed whereby representation of the petitioner dated 24.10.2016 was stated to have been disposed of. In the counter-affidavit, it is also stated that the petitioner was an employee of the Telangana State Beverages Corporation Ltd., and the aforesaid order dated 07.03.2018 was passed by the Managing Director of Telangana State Beverages Corporation Ltd. However, in the contempt case, the respondent, who belongs to Andhra Pradesh Beverages Corporation Ltd., has been impleaded.

Considering the matter in its entirety, I am of the considered opinion that this contempt case need not be pursued any further and accordingly, the same stands closed.

In view of the above, pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
