This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents to receive the Mandagapadi Fees from the petitioner for the year 2024 for performing Mandagapadi during the arrival and return of Lord Kallalagar during the auspicious Chithirai Festival on 22nd, 23rd and 26th of April, 2024 at Vasantha Ramasamy Mandapam situated at Outpost, Thallakulam, Madurai District.

The petitioner appears to have litigations with the third respondent in O.S.No.357 of 2003 before the Sub-Court, Madurai and in O.A.No.9 of 2003 before the second respondent.

The learned Standing Counsel for the third respondent would submit that the request of the petitioner for performance of Mandagapadi will be considered on terms and conditions as was made in the previous year without prejudice to the dispute in O.S.No.357 of 2003 and in O.A.No.9 of 2003.

Recording the above undertakings, this Writ Petition is disposed of with direction to consider the petitioner's request as above. No costs.
