Judgment
Heard Mr. S. Lakshmikanth, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Pasham Mohith, learned standing counsel for Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC), appearing for respondent Nos.2 and 3.
Learned standing counsel for GWMC has taken preliminary objection to the maintainability of writ petition and submitted that impugned intimation in File No.E-305763/GWMC/Cir-II/TP/2025 dated 03.08.2026 is a consequential notice pursuant to the dismissal of appeal filed by the petitioner under Section 252 (1) of the Telangana Municipalities Act 2019 (for short ‘Act 2019’) vide proceedings in Roc.No.112/2026/A3 dated 25.03.2026.
Per Contra, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that order dated 25.03.2026 passed by the appellate authority was not communicated to the petitioner.
A copy of proceedings dated 25.03.2026 is placed on record and served on learned counsel for the petitioner.
In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of, directing both the parties to maintain status quo, existing as on today, in respect of property bearing Plot No.1 admeasuring 46 square yards in Survey No.695/C situated at Prashanth Nagar, Wadeepally, Hanumakonda, for a period of two (2) weeks from today. Within this time, petitioner shall take necessary steps for challenging the order dated 25.03.2026 vide Roc.No.112/2026/A3 passed by the appellate authority. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in the writ petition stand closed.
