This Original Application is registered on the basis of the letter petition received from one Sushil resident of Village Sultanpur, Delhi –30. The allegation in the letter petition is about the alleged unlawful plotting activities leading to deforestation and increase of air and noise pollution in the vicinity. It is alleged that in last few months there is an alarming rise of construction activities within the society of the complainant especially within the green zones and wooded areas. These construction activities have resulted into illegal clearing of the trees and vegetation and indiscriminate felling of trees not only violating the environmental laws but also threaten the biodiversity of the area. In support of the plea some photographs have been annexed by the complainant.

Having regard to the nature of complaint and the particulars disclosed therein we are of the view that the complaint needs to be first looked into and examined by the Member Secretary, Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC).

Hence, we disposed of the OA directing the Member Secretary, DPCC to duly look into the grievance of the complainant, ascertain the truthfulness of the allegation and take appropriate remedial action if the allegations are found to be correct and submit an action taken report before the Registrar General of the Tribunal within three months by e-mail at [email protected] preferably in the form of searchable PDF/OCR Support PDF and not in the form of Image PDF.

OA is accordingly disposed of.

A copy of this order, along with a copy of the letter petition, be forwarded to the Member Secretary, DPCC by e-mail for compliance.
