The original petition is filed to direct the Court of the Munsiff, Ranni, to consider and dispose of O.S.No.246/2020 within a time frame.
Pursuant to the order dated 28.10.2022 passed by this Court, the learned Munsiff, by communication dated 04.11.2022, has informed this Court that the suit stands posted for pre-trial steps. The learned Munsiff is holding the additional charge of the Court of the Munsiff, Ranni and Grama Nyayalaya, Ranni. The court below requires seven months’ time to dispose of the suit.
Heard; Sri. Shiju Varghese, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Even though notice of this original petition has been served on the learned counsel appearing for the respondents before the court below, there is no appearance for them.
In the light of the pleadings and materials on record and after perusing the communication of the learned Munsiff, in exercise of the supervisory powers of this Court under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, I direct the Court of the Munsiff, Ranni, to consider and dispose of O.S.No.246/2020, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate, within a period of three months after the completion of the pre-trial steps.
The original petition is ordered accordingly.
