The petitioner seeks a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to protect his life and liberty and other family members at the hands of private respondents, with a further prayer to take appropriate legal action on representation dated 15.06.2023.
It is stated that private respondent used to harass and humiliate the wife of the petitioner, when the petitioner tried to make understand the private respondents, in this regard.
Precisely, in the context of aforesaid relief, petitioner has approached the Senior Superintendent of Police, Malerkotla-respondent No.2 by way of representation dated 15.06.2023 (Annexure P-1), but no action has been taken thereon. He submits that petitioner would be satisfied if his representation dated 15.06.2023 is decided in a time bound manner.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Anmol Singh Sandhu, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3.
Having heard learned counsel for the parties and on perusal of the paper book, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2- Senior Superintendent of Police, Malerkotla, to look into the representation dated 15.06.2023 (Annexure P-1) filed by the petitioner and if necessary to take appropriate action on the same, as per law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months.
