Judgment

The petitioner seeks a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing the respondents Nos. 2 and 3, to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner which is endangered at the hands of respondents No.4 to 8 as they as time and again interfering with the personal life of the petitioner and also not permitting the petitioner to go outside the matrimonial house.
It is stated that respondents No. 4 to 8 used to harras and humiliate the petitioner. They are threatening to kill the petitioner and due to the fear/danger to their life and further threatening to implicate in false cases, the petitioner is living under constant threat.
The petitioner has approached the Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar (Mohali) District SAS Nagar by way of representation dated 02.06.2023, but no action has been taken thereon. He submits that petitioner would be satisfied if the representation dated 02.06.2023 is decided in a time bound manner.
Notice of motion to respondent Nos.1 to 3.
On the asking of the Court, Ms. Himani Arora, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3.
Having heard learned counsel for the parties and on a perusal of the paper book, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2- Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar (Mohali) District SAS Nagar to look into the representation dated 02.06.2023 filed by the peti-tioner and if necessary to take appropriate action on the same, as per law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of one month.
