This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners/A.1 to A.4, under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, seeking to quash the proceeding in Crime No.190 of 2018 on the file of II Town Police Station, Eluru, West Godavari District.
Today, when the matter is taken up, the learned Public Prosecutor, on written instructions, submits that after completion of investigation, the police filed the charge sheet and the case was taken on file as S.C. No.227 of 2022 on the file of the Court of the Additional Senior Civil Judge, Eluru. It is further submitted that thereafter the petitioners filed Crl.M.P. No.4181 of 2023 under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking quashment of the proceedings. The said Criminal Petition was allowed by this Court by order, dated 01.12.2023 and the proceedings initiated in the said Sessions Case were quashed.
In view of the above submissions, and as no cause survives for adjudication in the present matter, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed.
