Judgment
This original petition was filed by the applicant in S.M.No.10/2018 for the speedy disposal of the matter pending on the file of Land Tribunal, Pathanamthitta, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
A report was called for in this matter and no time frame is seen suggested by the land Tribunal for final disposal of the matter.
I heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Pleader.
The learned counsel for the petitioner handed over a copy of the judgment dated 04.03.2021 in which a direction was issued by this Court for speedy disposal of a connected S.M.No.12/2018 on the file of the same Land Tribunal. The direction given to the Land Tribunal was to dispose of the matter within a period of one month from 04.03.2021.
The learned Government Pleader submitted that because of the intervention of election to legislative assembly of the State, the Land Tribunal may not be in a position to dispose of the matter within the similar period of one month as earlier imposed.
After hearing submission made on behalf of the parties, I am of the opinion that the Land Tribunal, Pathanamthitta should be called upon to dispose of this matter within six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this judgment. The original petition is disposed of accordingly.
All pending interlocutory applications will stand closed.
