1.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an Educational Society running a Law College and imparting three-year and five-year LL.B. courses. It is submitted that the respondent No.2 conducted an inspection in May 2026 and, thereafter, issued a show-cause notice dated 11.08.2026, calling upon the petitioner to comply with the observations mentioned therein.

2.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner submitted a reply on 25.08.2026 and is awaiting further orders regarding the grant of affiliation for admitting students to the three-year and five-year LL.B. courses for the ensuing academic year. It is submitted that the first phase of counselling has been completed and that the second phase of counselling is tentatively scheduled to be held in the third week of October 2026. It is further submitted that, despite the inspection of the petitioner-college, the respondent No.2 took more than three months to issue the show-cause notice and is acting at the behest of certain vested interests, thereby delaying the passing of appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation and reply.

3.

It is further submitted that, though the petitioner submitted its reply on 25.08.2026, the respondent No.2 has not passed any orders thereon till date. The petitioner apprehends that the respondent No.2 may further delay the passing of appropriate orders beyond the scheduled dates of web-counselling.

4.

Sri B. Raj Kiran, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent No.2, submits that the respondent No.2 shall pass appropriate orders on the reply submitted by the petitioner within a period of three weeks.

5.

Considering the submissions made, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent No.2 to consider the reply submitted by the petitioner to the show-cause notice dated 11.08.2026 and pass appropriate orders expeditiously, preferably before the commencement of the second phase of web-counselling.

6.

With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed off. There shall be no order as to costs.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
