This OA is almost a sequel to the OA No. 1082/2021. The applicant, who is working as Superintendent Engineer, was denied promotion to the next higher post because a charge memo issued to him. The applicant filed the OA No.1082/2021, challenging the charge memo.
Today, itself, we allowed that OA and have set aside the charge memo. With this, the hindrance for promotion of the applicant to the next higher post stands removed. In case, he is otherwise eligible for promotion and if his juniors were promoted, his case needs to be examined.
We, therefore, dispose of the OA, directing the respondents to take appropriate steps as regards the promotion of the applicant to the next higher post, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
