Judgment
The present letter petition, sent by Mr. Shantanu Dixit resident of Plot No. 12, Diksha, Road No. 1, Group No. 1, Sector 17, Opposite Jimmy Towers, Kiper Khairane, Navi, Mumbai to Hon’ble the Chief Justice of India, Supreme Court of India, has been forwarded to this Tribunal for such action as may be deemed fit in the matter.
In the letter petition the applicant has complained that Madhya Pradesh Government has given contract to Aditya Birla to start diamond mining in Buxwaha Forest spread over 360 hectares for which more than 2.5 lakhs tree would be cut down causing environmental degradation affecting the ecosystem and food-chain.
We find that similar matters O.A Nos. 34/2021 and 35/2021 are pending before Hon’ble Central Zonal Bench of this Tribunal and fixed for hearing on 19.05.2022. The Registry is directed to send this letter petition to the Ld. Registrar, Central Zonal Bench of this Tribunal for placing the matter before the Hon’ble Bench for considering the same with matters already pending before it. .
In view of above direction, the present proceedings before this Bench are disposed of accordingly.
