Judgment
Ahanthem Bimol Singh, J
Heard Mr. S. Rupachandra, learned senior counsel assisted by Mrs. Lenda Goswami, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. Niranjan Sanasam, learned GA appearing for the respondents.
In view of the limited prayer made by the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner and as agreed to by both the counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is being disposed of at the Motion stage itself.
At the outset, Mr. S. Rupachandra, learned senior counsel submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Director of Settlement & Land Records, Government of Manipur, to consider the representation dated 11-09-2023 submitted by the petitioner on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable act and rules and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order within a stipulated period.
Mr. Niranjan Sanasam, learned GA fairly submitted that as the prayer of the petitioner is confined to consideration and disposal of the represented submitted by him, he has no objection in disposing of the present writ petition as prayed for by the counsel for the petitioner.
In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Director of Settlement & Land Records, Government of Manipur, to consider the aforesaid representation submitted by the petitioner on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable act and rules and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition is disposed of.
