Prayer in the writ petition is for the issuance of a writ of certiorari to quash the action of the respondent-Commission in not considering the petitioner eligible for the post of PGT (Commerce) as also for the issuance of directions to the respondents to hold the petitioner eligible for the post of PGT (Commerce) and to consider the petitioner for selection and appointment as PGT (Commerce).

While issuing notice of motion on 24.3.2017, the petitioner was interviewed, however, result of the petitioner was ordered not to be declared without orders from the Court.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that result of the petitioner be perused and in case the petitioner has secured the minimum cut off marks for selection i.e. 116 out of 200 marks then he may be permitted to argue the case on merits.

Result of the petitioner has been produced in sealed cover. On opening of the same, the petitioner is shown to have secured 108 out of 200 marks i.e. 8 marks less than the cut off marks of the last candidate selected.

In view of the aforementioned position, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he does not wish to press the writ petition and the same may be dismissed as such.

In the light of the position as noted above as well as in view of the statement of learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is dismissed as not pressed.

Result of the petitioner produced in Court in sealed cover by learned Sr. DAG, Haryana, after perusal, is resealed and returned to the learned Sr. DAG, Haryana.
