Petitioner is participating in the selection process for the post of PGT (Geography). Last date for submission of online applications was 21.09.2015.
In this case, notice of motion was issued on 09.10.2018 by observing that in the written examination, petitioner had secured 118 marks and the cut off marks, in General category, were 98. But, the petitioner had not been called for the interview. Pursuant to the order passed by this Court, the petitioner has been provisionally interviewed and his result has been kept in a sealed cover.
Learned State counsel has produced a corrigendum along with original application form of the petitioner, as per which, the closing date for accepting the applications was extended to 12.10.2015 and deposit of fee was 15.10.2015. Along with his application form, petitioner has annexed his marks sheet of M.A. (Geography). This marks sheet/certificate shows that he had appeared in the examination in December, 2015 and his result was declared on 07.04.2016. Meaning thereby, the petitioner had not given final examination before the cut off date i.e. 12/15.10.2015. On account of the fact that the petitioner was not Master of Arts (M.A.) on the cut off date, he was not eligible as per the advertisement.
No merits.
Dismissed.
