Judgment
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the total compensation amount in question is Rs. 4,84,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Eighty Four only).
She further submits that the petitioner is ready and willing to deposit an 30% of the compensation amount before the learned Trial Court in STC No.743 of 2026 within a period of four weeks. She undertakes to produce the deposit receipt before this Court on the next date of hearing and prays that his application for Suspension of Sentence (SOS) be considered upon production of the said receipt.
Considering the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is granted four weeks' time to deposit 30% of the compensation amount before the learned Trial Court in STC No.743 of 2026 and is directed to produce the deposit receipt before this Court on the next date of hearing. Subject to the production of the said deposit receipt on the next date fixed, the petitioner's application for Suspension of Sentence (SOS) shall be considered by this Court
Issue notice to the respondent through RPAD. Private mode of service is also permitted. The learned counsel for the petitioner shall take steps of service within 10 days from today.
