Judgment
L. Narasimha Reddy, J
The applicant responded to an advertisement issued by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) for the post of Teacher (Primary) in the year 2017-2018. The selection process was entrusted to the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board. After completion of process, the 1st respondent addressed a letter dated 09.03.2020 to the SDMC, i.e., the 2nd respondent, forwarding the e-dossier of the applicant. The grievance of the applicant is that though more than six months have elapsed, the 2nd respondent has not taken any action so far.
The case was listed for admission on 02.09.2020. On that date, Ms. Sriparna Chatterjee, learned counsel for the 2nd respondent sought time to obtain instructions. Today, Ms. Sriparna Chatterjee submits that the e-dossiers have been received and they are under process.
We heard Shri Davesh Bhatia, learned counsel for the applicant and Ms. Sriparna Chatterjee, learned counsel for respondent No.1 and Ms. Esha Mazumdar, learned counsel for respondent No.2.
It is not in dispute that the applicant was selected for the post of Teacher (Primary) and his e-dossier was forwarded to the 2 nd respondent. Obviously because of the present pandemic, the issuance of orders of appointment may have been delayed. At the same time, the matter cannot be kept pending indefinitely.
We, therefore, dispose of the OA directing the 2nd respondent to complete the process on the e-dossiers of the applicant within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Pending MAs shall stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
