Judgment

Ms. R. Dutta, learned counsel has once again prayed for accommodation in this matter on grounds of personal difficulty of the conducting Sr. counsel for the petitioner, Mr. K. Paul.
Time and again, this Court has indicated that this is a long pending matter and it would be fit and proper for all concerned that the same is disposed of expeditiously and in accordance with law.
Mr. S. Sen, learned counsel for the respondent No. 1 has submitted that at the initial stage of this case, a stay was granted by this Court on the operation of the impugned judgment and order dated 17.12.2014 passed by the Meghalaya Board of Revenue, Shillong as well as the judgment and order dated 27.05.2013 passed by the learned Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills, Shillong. Such stay orders has continued till date which would be detrimental to the case of the respondent.
Be that as it may, this Court with the prayer of the petitioner is inclined to allow the same. However, it is made clear that if the matter is not taken up on the next date, the stay granted will be vacated.
