Judgment
Grievance of the applicants is regarding illegal cutting of Khair trees in the forest area of Nadha, Parch, Karora, Jainti Devi, Jainti Majri, Nagar and Siswan, District Mohali, Punjab by contractors Harmohinder Singh @ Hummy and Gurvinder Singh @ Sunny in connivance with Sh. Praveen Kumar, PCCF-Punjab and Sh. Vishal Chauhan, Conservator of Forest, Shivalik Circle, Punjab.
Perusal of the record reveals that a PIL bearing no. CWP PIL 144 of 2020 is also pending in the Hon’ble Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh which also pertains to the illegal activities of misusing the forest land and illegal cutting of Khair trees in the Panchayat land of Siswan, District Mohali, Punjab.
We have given our thoughts to the matter. The applicant has not filed the copy of PIL filed before Punjab and Haryana High Court at Chandigarh. Thus, we are not aware whether the said PIL also covers the grievance of the applicant. In these circumstances, in the absence of the material particulars, we are not inclined to take cognizance of the application. Thus, the application stands disposed of.
