O R D E R
Heard both of them.
M.A. No. 302 of 2022 filed by the applicants to jointly submit this O.A. is allowed.
Mr. Puri submits that the applicants are seeking a direction to the respondents to grant them pay scale of Rs. 5150-8300 from the time of their appointment as per provisions of SRO-18 of 1998. He further pleads that in three other cases of similarly placed persons, the High Court granted this benefit to them by order dated 10.03.2020 but in spite of representation submitted by the applicants on 22.02.2022, the respondents have not granted benefit of the higher pay scale to the applicants. Hence, this O.A. seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the applicants for grant of higher pay scale as per the High Court decision in case of similarly placed other persons.
Mr. Gupta has no objection if such a direction is issued to the respondents.
Considering the above submissions, this O.A. is disposed of at admission stage, without expressing any opinion on merits of the case, directing the respondents to consider pending representation of the applicant dated 22.04.2022 for grant of higher pay scale as per provisions of SRO-18 of 1998 in view of the High Court order dated 10.03.2020 in other similar cases and other relevant provisions and rules on this subject and decide it with a reasoned order within four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order and within one week thereafter to communicate it to the applicants. No costs.
