Judgment
HON'BLE Mr. DEVENDRA CHAUDHRY, MEMBER (A) Heard learned counsel for the applicant as well as counsel for the respondents.
At the outset, learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant has preferred an appeal dated 05.10.2020 (Annexure A-3) against the punishment order dated 08.05.2020 (Annexure A-2) which is still pending for consideration.
Learned counsel for the applicant further states that ends of justice would be served if a direction is given by this Tribunal to the respondents/competent authority to consider and dispose of the pending appeal of the applicant dated 05.10.2020 (Annexure A-3) within a stipulated period of time. Learned counsel for the respondents has no objection to the same.
In view of the above submissions, respondents /Competent authority is directed to consider and decide the appeal of the applicant dated 05.10.2020 (Annexure A-3) by passing a reasoned and speaking order within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, under intimation to the applicant. It is made clear that no comments have been made on the merits of the case.
The OA is disposed of accordingly.
No costs.
