Heard learned counsel for the applicant, learned A.P.P and learned counsel for the informant-wife.

The applicant-husband, who is in custody since 24.05.2023, has approached this Court for grant of regular bail in connection with Sadar Mahila (Chatra) P.S. Case No.31 of 2022, registered for the offence under Sections 323/ 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/ 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

It appears that there is matrimonial dispute between the parties and there is chance of settlement of dispute through mediation.

Considering the above fact, I am inclined to enlarge the applicant on provisional bail for a period of four months from the date of release. Accordingly, the applicant is directed to be released on provisional bail, on his furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Chatra, in connection with Sadar Mahila (Chatra) P.S. Case No.31 of 2022, on the condition that the applicant will submit self-attested photocopy of his Aadhaar Card and also submit his mobile number before the learned court below which he will always keep active and will not change it during pendency of this case without prior permission of the court.

The applicant-husband and the informant-wife, both are directed to appear before the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Chatra on 10.08.2023.

The Secretary, DLSA, Chatra, is directed to mediate between the parties through competent Mediator and submit a report to this Court within three months form the date of their appearance.

Let a copy of this order be communicated to the Secretary, DLSA, Chatra, for needful.
