Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant was initially appointed on a contractual basis against a clear vacancy of Junior Assistant in the respondent department in the year 1997. Her services were regularized vide order dated 27.12.2013 in terms of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Special Provisions) Act, 2010. The applicant has filed the present O.A. seeking regularization of her services with effect from the date she completed seven years of continuous contractual service.

Learned counsel for the applicant further submits that it will suffice if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the applicant’s claim for regularization of her services from the date, she completed seven years of contractual service, more particularly in light of the judgment passed by this Tribunal in O.A./223/2025 titled Dr. Mohammad Jamal Bhat and Others vs. Health and Medical Education Department, M.A./1105/2024 in T.A./4482/2021 titled Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Shah and Others vs. State of Jammu and Kashmir and Others, and the order passed by the CAT Jammu Bench in T.A./5719/2021 titled Kanwal Jeet Singh vs. Department of Power Development, UT of J&K, and in accordance with the provisions of the J&K Civil Services (Special Provisions) Act, 2010 within a stipulated time frame.

In view of the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the applicant, the respondents are directed to consider the applicant’s claim for regularization from the date she completed seven years of contractual service, in accordance with law and in light of the judgments passed in Dr. Mohammad Jamal Bhat and Others vs. Health and Medical Education Department (O.A. No. 223/2025), Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Shah and Others vs. State of J&K and Others (M.A. No. 1105/2024 in T.A. No. 4482/2021), and Kanwal Jeet Singh vs. Department of Power Development, UT of J&K (T.A. No. 5719/2021), and also in terms of the J&K Civil Services (Special Provisions) Act, 2010, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

With these directions, the OA is disposed of. No order as to costs.
