P. Jyothimani, J.—The Petitioner, who is the father of the detenue, has filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition for production of his

daughter, by name Mahalakshmi.

2.

Today, the police has produced the detenue Mahalakshmi. On enquiry by this Court, the detenue Mahalakshmi, who is aged about 20 years,

has informed that in her husband''s house at Karikali, she was detained in a separate room on compelling her to pay a sum of Rs. 30,000/- for the

medical treatment of her father-in-law and according to her, she has become unconscious and suddenly, after coming to know about the filing of

Habeas Corpus Petition, the fourth Respondent left her in the bus stop and the said detenue has reached her parents at Karur. We have also

verified the said fact from the father and mother of the detenue, who were present in Court today, who have agreed to take her along with them.

Insofar as the alleged dispute between the detenue and her husband is concerned, it is open to the parties to take necessary steps in the manner

known to law.

3.

Inasmuch as the detenue has been procured and she expressed her willingness to go along with her parents, she is set at liberty.

4.

Recording the aforesaid statement of the detenue, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands disposed of.
