P. Sathasivam, J.—The petitioner by name k. Murugan, has filed this petition seeking direction to the respondents herein to produce the

body of the detenue D. Thilakavathy, aged about 23 years and set her at liberty.

2.

Pursuant to the direction of this Court, the detenue D. Thilakavathy appeared before us. We enquired her. She denied the allegations made in

the affidavit filed in support of the above petition. She informed us that under force, she married the petitioner herein and also informed us that on

the date of marriage itself she returned the ""thali"" and staying along with her mother, third respondent herein. She further informs that she is not

under the custody or detention of anyone, including the third respondent. Now, she is living with the third respondent, who is her mother and also

expressed that she is not willing to go along with the petitioner.

In the light of the assertion made by the detenue, we are satisfied that the detenue is not under the detention of anyone, including the third

respondent; no further adjudication is required in this petition, hence, the same is closed. However, the parties are at liberty to move the

appropriate forum to vindicate their grievance if any.
