Application is registered based on a complaint received by e-mail
This is a letter petition received from Nyay Prayaas Foundation complaining about dying and washing activities in Ghazipur Village causing pollution in the area concerned. It is said that illegal commercial activities of chemical dying and washing plants are continuing in residential premises of Ghazipur Village near Dharam Kanta in Road No. D-59, Ghazipur Dairy Farm road no. 5 near Vivek Dharam Kanta Delhi-110096. Chemical dying water is being drained out into drainage system leading to groundwater contamination and deaths of stray animals. Unhygienic and hazardous odor is also present in the neighbouring areas.
In our view, the matter at first instance be examined by the concerned authorities for which purpose, we constitute a joint Committee comprising DPCC and District Magistrate, East Delhi who shall look into matter and if they find any violation shall take appropriate remedial action in accordance with law within two months.
Application is disposed of with above direction.
A copy of this order, alongwith copy of compliant, be forwarded to DPCC and District Magistrate, East Delhi by e-mail for compliance.
