Judgment
On the last date dated 18.8.2021 petitioner was granted liberty to file an application for impleadment of the authorised officer under the provisions of Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995 and rules made therein. Petitioner filed M.A. No. 195 of 2021 accordingly. Notice has been served on the authorised officer on 30.8.2021 and affidavit of service has also been filed. Today nobody appeared for the authorised officer nor any reply or application has been filed in terms of order dated 18.8.2021. In that view of the matter, the prayer made in M.A. No. 195 of 2021 for impleadment of the authorised officer as respondent no. 3 deserves to be allowed. However, one last opportunity is given to the authorised officer to appear and bring on record the relevant materials and take a stand with regard to prayer for impleadment, if so advised, before the next date.
Respondent no. 2 has already filed its reply. Petitioner, if so advised, may file its rejoinder within four weeks.
On the next date, the pending MAs shall be considered in the light of all the facts.
