Report dated 28.03.2024 received from the CJM, Jeypore revealed that the case had been committed to the Court of Session on 05.03.2024 and had been transferred to that Court on 15.03.2024 and charge has been framed under Section 392,413,34 of the IPC against the four accused persons on 23.03.2024 and posted to 15.04.2024 for hearing and that accused Narendra Macha, Hemanta Nag and Abhi Harijan were in jail custody of Special Jail, Jeypore. While co-accused Subash Harijan was on bail.
On 24.04.2024, another report had been called for from the learned Court below regarding the status of this case, but instead of inviting a report from the Court of the learned CJM-cum-Assistant Sessions Judge, (trial Court) the Registry has called for a report from the learned SDJM, Jeypore, with whom the case is no longer pending. The learned SDJM has naturally reported vide report dated 25.04.2024 that the case has been committed to the Court of Sessions, Jeypore on 05.03.2024.
Registry is directed to call for a report from the learned CJM, Jeypore regarding status of the case. The Deputy Registrar (Judicial) shall ask for an explanation from the Dealing Assistant, who has carelessly called for a report from the learned SDJM, Jeypore.
