The OA is filed by the 1st applicant association and other applicants claiming various reliefs, in the representative capacity. The principal grievance is about the delay in payment of salaries to different kinds of employees of the Municipal Corporations.

We heard Shri Ajesh Luthra, learned counsel for applicants and Shri R. V. Sinha, Shri Gyanendra Singh and Shri R. K. Jain, learned counsel for the respondents.

The record discloses that the orders were passed at various stages as and when Miscellaneous Applications were filed. It is also brought to our notice that the orders were implemented. As recently as on 15.06.2020, a direction was issued that in case salary of employees is not paid, the same shall be released within 15 days.

Today, it is brought to our notice by the learned counsel for the Respondents, that the very issue is under consideration before the Hon'ble Delhi High Court in an LPA. It is stated that the Hon'ble High Court has also taken suo motto notice of the matter relating to payment of salaries to different kinds of employees including the Teachers.

This OA was filed way back in the year 2015. Several changes have taken place ever since then. We are of the view that the OA has outlived its purpose and we accordingly close the same. We, however, make it clear that if the Association or its members have any specific grievance, it shall be open to them to seek remedies by approaching this Tribunal.

All the Miscellaneous Applications stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
