Judgment
Justice Kurian Joseph, Chief Justice
The writ petitions are filed mainly with the following prayers:-
i) That a writ in the nature of certiorari or any other appropriate writ or direction may kindly issued quashing the order, if any, passed by the respondents whereby the enhanced pay was reduced from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 7,000/-
ii) That a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or direction may kindly issued directing the respondent to restore and pay the salary @ Rs. 12,000/- per month from the due date i.e. 1.7.2008 with all consequential benefits awarded vide Office Order dated 10.04.2008 as has been paid to Ms. Ruchi Sharma, petitioner in CWP No. 3038/2008.
In case the petitioners are similarly situated as Ruchi Sharma, referred to above, and in case the judgment in her favour has attained finality, a similar treatment in principle shall be given to the petitioners herein also. However, the arrears shall be limited to a period of 36 months only. The needful shall be done within a period of two months from the date of production of a copy of this judgment along with a copy of the writ petition(s) and the copy of the judgment, referred to above.
The writ petitions are disposed of, so also the pending application(s), if any.
