Judgment

Heard Mr. Ch. Momon, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr. Shyam Sharma, learned GA appearing for the respondent Nos. 1 to 4 and Mr. Y. Nirmolchand, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. U. Augusta, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 5.
It has been submitted at the Bar by the learned counsel for the parties that the matter can be disposed of by issuing a simple direction to the respondents to the effect that if the lands of the petitioners are required for laying down the pipes, the respondents should take necessary steps under the relevant provision of law for acquisition of the said lands.
In view of the submission made above, the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondents that if the authorities required the lands belonging to the petitioners, necessary process should be taken up under the relevant provision of law for acquision of the land. Further, liberty is also given to the authorities to purchase the lands directly from the petitioners, if the petitioners are agreeable to such direct purchase.
With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition is disposed of.
