Hon’ble Shri Bibhu Datta Guru, Judge

1.

By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent authorities to consider and decide his representations dated 07.07.2025, 04.06.2025 and 22.10.2025 (Annexure P/6 Colly.) pending before the respondent authorities.

2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was initially appointed as Junior Engineer in the year 2009 and was regularized in the year 2011. He submits that, as per the seniority lists published from time to time, the petitioner was senior to the private respondents No.3 to 5 and was accordingly promoted to the post of Assistant Engineer in the year 2019, whereas the private respondents were promoted in the year 2021. However, vide the impugned amended seniority list dated 17.04.2025, the private respondents have been placed above the petitioner in the seniority list of Junior Engineers and Assistant Engineers. Learned counsel further submits that despite the petitioner's representations dated 04.06.2025, 07.07.2025 and 22.10.2025, the respondent authorities have neither redressed his grievance nor decided the said representations.

3.

Learned counsel appearing for respondents No. 1 & 2/CSPTCL submits that, if the representations submitted by the petitioner are still pending consideration, the same shall be considered and decided in accordance with law within the stipulated period, after affording sufficient opportunity of hearing to all the concerned parties.

4.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the pleadings as well as the documents appended to the writ petition.

5.

Considering the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner and taking into account the submission made by learned counsel appearing for respondents No. 1 and 2, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents No. 1 and 2 to consider and decide the pending representations dated 07.07.2025, 04.06.2025 and 22.10.2025 (Annexure P/6 Colly.) submitted by the petitioner and pass an appropriate order in accordance with law, after affording sufficient opportunity of hearing to all the concerned parties, including the private respondents, preferably within a period of 50 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.

The petitioner is directed to apprise the respondent authorities of the order passed by this Court for necessary information and compliance.

7.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
