Heard the learned counsel for the applicants Shri Nirmal V. Nair, Smt O.M. Shalina, SCGSC for 1st respondent and Shri George Kuruvila for respondents 2 to 5.
The learned counsel for the applicants submitted that the applicants are widows of late Rameshan and Kumaran respectively, who were applicants in O.A No.1009/2015 and by virtue of the order dated 29.12.2015, the representations given by 13 applicants in that O.A, including the said Rameshan and Kumaran were directed to be considered and disposed of. On that basis stepping up of pay was sanctioned, however only from the date of filing of the O.A at Annexure A-1. Against that decision, 11 applicants excluding the husbands of the applicants moved this Tribunal again by filing O.A No. 292/2017, as both the husbands had passed away, by that time. On that basis, the applicants in O.A No. 292/2017 were granted reliefs. Now on that lines, Annexure A-3 and A-4 representations were submitted before the 4th respondent. The contention of the applicants is that their husbands were also entitled to get similar relief that was granted to the applicants in Annexure A-2.
Having gone through the materials, we deem it appropriate to direct the 4th respondent to consider and dispose the representations submitted by the applicants, in the light of Annexure A-2, within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly.
The O.A is disposed of as above. No costs.
