Judgment
Ahanthem Bimol Singh, J
[1] Heard Mr. N. Jotendro, learned senior counsel assisted by Md. Abdul Baqee Khan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr. Th. Vashum, learned GA appearing for the respondents.
[2] In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioners in the present writ petition and as agreed to by both the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of at the Motion stage itself.
[3] At the outset, the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Commissioner (Cooperation), Government of Manipur to consider the representation dated 04-04-2024 submitted by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable provisions of law and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order within a stipulated period.
[4] Mr. Th. Vashum, learned GA appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer of the petitioners are confined to the consideration and disposal of the representation submitted by them, he has no objection in disposing of the present writ petition as prayed for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners.
[5] In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Commissioner (Cooperation), Government of Manipur to consider the said representation dated 04-04-2024 submitted by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable act and rules and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order within a period of 2(two) months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
[6] With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is disposed of.
